Lesson Program Waiver - forA&T Equestrian 4615-190th st Surrey BC
Tacking: Students are encouraged to come 15 minutes early to groom, saddle and bridle their horse if possible. After their lesson, students are expected to cool out and untack their horse unless the horse is being used again after their lesson.
Beginner riders should learn how to properly groom and tack up their horses. They will be encouraged to do this by themselves once they get past the introductory stage of lessons. Parents and Tot students are not required to tack their own horse, but parents are welcome to learn on their behalf.
Dogs: No dogs are permitted on the property
Riding Attire: Boots with walking heels, long pants, a shirt with sleeves and a helmet are required for all riding lessons. Tank tops are not allowed, the shoulder must be covered. Bicycle helmets are fine for Parent and Tot as well as beginner lessons, but the student must have an approved equestrian helmet and riding boots before they are allowed to canter or jump.
Late Arrivals: Students arriving more than 15 minutes late for their lesson will not be permitted to ride as it is too disruptive to the class and does not allow for adequate warm-up time for the horse. Students are encouraged to stay and watch and learn. No makeup will be given.
Billing: After the introduction set of lessons (4 lessons per set), students will be billed monthly. Post-dated cheques, or credit cards on file are required to hold the student’s spot. Students will not be allowed to ride without payment in advance.
Riding Lesson Cancellation Policy:
1. You must give us notice when cancelling a lesson to be eligible for a makeup lesson if you are going out of town. For sickness - if you are riding from 3pm and later, you need to email us by 9am to get a makeup class. If you are riding in the morning, please email us by 5pm to get make-up in lieu of your class. This gives us enough time to make the necessary changes. Daytime lessons are 830am-3pm and evening lessons begin at 330pm.
2. No refunds will be given for missed lessons or pre-booked camps or packages.
3. Makeup lessons must be scheduled within 14 days of the original lesson.
4. Makeup classes cannot be rescheduled.
5. All attempts will be made to accommodate a makeup lesson; however, if you are unable to attend any of the available times, the lesson will be forfeited. No refunds will be given. A grooming and tacking lesson can be given as a makeup lesson.
6. Makeup lessons may be scheduled before or after the missed lesson.
7. Camp, lesson packages and field trip dates may be changed if more than 7 days’ notice is provided. No refunds
